THANK YOU PARTNERS!

15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessolonica ye sent once and again unto my neccessity.
17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
Philippians 4:15-17

In well over three decades of ministry, we have never made money an issue. I have never sent out an “appeal letter” begging for offerings on our behalf, nor has money ever been an issue with us regarding where or in what church we accepted an invitation to minister. Even in the churches we pastored for so many years, although we would occasionally make ministry projects known to the congregation, we never made big “pulls” for money, and I never volunteered to share our personal needs with the people under our care.

Frankly, I am appalled at some of the “fund-raising” schemes that I have seen otherwise anointed ministers fall prey to using in years gone by. If your “ministry structure” ever gets to the point where the “tail is wagging the dog,” you need to pray, repent, get back on track in God’s Purpose, lay your own human ambition and agenda on the altar and return to the integrity of faith rather than the self-promotion of presumption. What God Himself calls for, HE will pay for. And I decided long ago that if God Himself was not big enough to keep the ship afloat, then LET IT SINK!

Even though we don’t solicit as such for “ministry partners,” God has raised up faithful partners who pray and contribute in other ways, including financially, to our ministry. I never want those faithful and obedient servants of God to ever feel as though we do not recognize or appreciate all that they do for the ministry, just because we do not mention money frequently.

So in this, and other platforms available to me, let me take this opportunity to say a heartfelt and public THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has responded to God’s prompting to pray, work or give in some way into the ministry that He has entrusted to Linda and me. We love you! We pray for you! And, we most certainly value and appreciate you! We are believing God with you for abundant fruit to be credited to your account! Again, THANK YOU!

Be Blessed!
